Leaked Eraserheads Reunion Concert song list with videos

Ironically the all the Eheads concert I have been into were never finished, one in Dredd before and many other provincial stints, either a riot or gang war will happen but this time Ely's over stressed heart....

Below are accounts by one of my fellow countryman who experienced the power of the Eraserheads. She made a wonderful post and you can find more on it on her multiply page and her blog too.

We were all supposed to dance the Huling El Bimbo with a fantastic fireworks display. It was going to be the perfect song to end a perfect concert.

I know because my sister said so. She was one of the band's PAs (guess which one!) and was there during the production meetings. On Sunday morning, as we gathered for our family lunch, she told us what was supposed to go down during the Eheads concert.

Video while we're on Eraserheads Reunion Concert Backstage

The first set went exactly as planned, except of course for Ely's collapse. To refresh your memory, these are the songs we heard:

1. Alapaap
2. Ligaya
3. Sembreak
4. Hey Jay
5. Harana
6. Fruitcake
7. Toyang
8. Kama Supra
9. Kailan
10. Wag Kang Matakot
11. Kaliwete
12. With A Smile
13. Shake Yer Head
14. Wag Mo Nang Itanong
15. Lightyears

During the second set, the band was to sing ten more songs, in this order:

1. Maskara
2. Poor Man's Grave
3. Torpedo
4. Trip to Jerusalem
5. Back To Me
6. walang Nagbago
7. Maling Akala
8. Tikman
9. Spoliarium
10.Magasin

When Magasin was to be played, the screen behind them would have montages of various news and magazine clippings of them. It would flash alternately with shots of the band and audience until the song reached the coda where Ely sings "...ay centerfold ka naaaa...woo hoo-hoo, haaa-haaa" part of the song. Then there would be fire works and a fountain of sparks, going on til the last note of the song. Then the hydraulic stage would be lowered and the band would make a "fake ending".

The lights would then go out.

My sister said the band would wait til the crowd chanted "more". "It would take two beers' worth of chanting "more" she said. Then in the darkness, a very dramatic keyboard solo would be heard, and it would be the opening chords of Para Sa Masa.

The hydraulic stage would rise again and there they would be.

After Para Sa Masa, they'd switch into Overdrive. With the crowed pumped within an inch of insanity they were to hit us with Pare Ko. And then we would slow down and reminisce with Minsan.

Finally, they would perform Huling El Bimbo. Again, after the last refrain, at the coda (la la la laaa...) the grand fireworks display would go off, fountains of light surrounding the stage. The next la-la-la parts would see fireworks from behind the general admissions section, and as the song ended there would be a burst of confetti all over the audience.

Then the hydraulic stage would be lowered for the final exit.

Those were the plans for the Ultraelectromagnetic night. It may not have happened as planned but at least we knew they were going to give us a show we would never forget!

We asked my sister if the band knew about all these plans and she said they did. In fact they were so excited about all the gimmicks and couldn't wait to party with the audience. "Nag-usap pa nga sila kung may mga kailangang saluhin na kanta just in case (di na kaya ni Ely)," she said. "And Ely said, hindi, Kakanta ako!"

I'm putting out an order to the Universe that we all get to watch the second set!

Related:

For a very brief time in 2002, after Ely Buendia left the Eraserheads, the band continued on with Kris Gorra as Ely's replacement. After the reunion concert was cut short due to unforeseen and sad circumstances, the remaining members decided to debrief and talk Saguijo. Everyone was in high spirts info came out that Ely was well and good, and maybe as an act of celebration (or simply because nabitin sila sa concert), they decided to jam when there was no one left. The result is one of the most heartfelt and inspiring performances i've ever seen in my life. You'll have to forgive me singing out loud at one point. I couldn't help it.

Korean Hunk Artist Kim Jang Hoon collapses in concert

Korean Hunk Artist Kim Jang Hoon collapses in concert

This should be subtitled, “Korea: The Land of Overworked Pop Stars.”

Kind of a frightening sight, isn’t it?

Singer Kim Jang Hoon collapsed in concert on June 28 and was sent to the emergency room while performing as part of the “West Coast Festival” concert being held for the benefit of revitalizing the local economy after the oil spill devastated the region last year. After singing only two songs, Kim collapsed onstage, in the middle of singing his third, “Champion.” He recovered consciousness in the ambulance, but his condition is described as “requiring absolute rest.”

It seems we get another singer/actor/celebrity collapsing every other week or so, with “overwork” and “exhaustion” cited as the overwhelming culprit. Granted, it used to be that “exhaustion” was the catch-all word for American celebrity hospitalizations too, but we all know that’s just code for less-savory reasons like drug abuse or Britney-esque meltdowns. At least in Korea, exhaustion does actually seem to be the actual reason. It certainly was for Kim Jang Hoon, who’d reportedly overworked himself in preparation for his performance, getting only an hour of sleep a night for the past week.

He wasn’t able to continue the concert, although fellow singers continued after he was sent to the hospital. Members of punk-rock band No Brain and Super Junior (pictured below) headed to the hospital to visit Kim afterward.

Asian Hunks "Gokusen" boys to present Taiwan's Golden Melody Awards

"Gokusen" boys to present Taiwan's Golden Melody Awards

Three of the young male stars from "Gokusen 3" are headed to Taiwan next month. Yuya Takaki, Junta Nakama, and Akito Kiriyama have been announced as guest presenters at the 19th Golden Melody Awards, which are being held at the Taipei Arena on July 5. The three are also scheduled to perform a few songs at the event, such as the "Gokusen 3" insert song "Oretachi no Seishun."

Japanese artists who have presented the awards in the past include Jun Matsumoto, Tegomass, and Dreams Come True.

This year's awards show is scheduled to be broadcast in 58 countries.

casts : takaki yuya, miura haruma, ishiguro hideo, nakama junta, kiriyama akito, miura shohei

So, we already knew that Ishiguro Hideo, the actor who played Hayato's brother in Gokusen 2, will be in Gokusen 3 as well. For that reason some of the fans were hoping to see Jin in this one too. But Ishiguro Hodeo's character name has been announced and surprise! the character he's playing is not Hayato's brother! His name is Honjou Kengo.
Anyway, I'm still hoping to see someone from Yankumi's former students from Gokusen 2 in this season too *praying* >.<
After all in season 2 there was one of her former students from the first season (Kuma)...
And speaking of Kuma, he will be in the third season too (played by the same actor). (source: producer's diary) (on that note, producer's diary is fun to read if anyone's interested)

Here are photos of this season's students:

Park Jin Young JYP wants to make a Movie -MC Mong, K-chart topper for 4 straight weeks

Singer, producer, composer, and big man CEO, Park Jin Young (JYP), has decided to go even bigger by creating a dance-based movie. On the 23rd, MBC ‘Section TV (섹션TV 연예통신)’ found JYP on the set of the CF he was filming, and performed a quick interview.

JYP stated that singer Lim Jeong Hee (임정희) will be releasing her official American album in about 2 months with the name J-Lim. He also talked a bit about Wonder Girls' new single and album. "Their concept is completely different from their first album, from the music, to their fashion; their dancing style itself has been changed around 10 times now.

JYP then spoke about his future project, a movie. He stated that his movie has a completed script, and that it will be a great movie, with great dancing and singing. He then got metaphorical by adding, "Music is a sport; anything with competition is a sport." JYP closed the interview by stating that he will be brining good news from the U.S. soon.

MC Mong, K-chart topper for 4 straight weeks

Last May 23, MC Mong has managed to defend the “K-chart” top spot of KBS “Music Bank” for 4 consecutive weeks for his song “Circus,” which is from his 4th album “Show’s Just Begun.”

Other songs which vied for the top place were SG Wanna Be’s “La La La” and Alex’s “Flower Pot.”
